Welcome to Birds.ie
South East Birds of Prey Centre is a Charity specialising in the care and rehabilitation of wild Birds of Prey or Raptors The Raptor family are Falcons, Hawks and Owls who are our natural inhabitants of Ireland
Our aim is to help recover 'damaged' birds and help them on their way to freedom again. If we cannot set them free, we will hope to help them have a family and then set the young free.
You can visit the Centre during Heritage week 2010 by calling us on 051 562613 to arrange an appointment (this avoids having to many people arriving at the same time). Visits last 30 - 60 minutes dependant upon how many birds we have in residence and how many questions are asked. To find us click on the contact page above.

Our Aims
This web site is dedicated to helping understand what to do when you find a bird in distress and help educate on the ecological issues affecting the Raptor or Wild Birds of Prey species.
Help us by understanding that we are not against hunting as a sport, but we are more & more concerned at the level of injuries caused by shot gun. It would be great if we could reduce shotgun casualties by 25%, which means Nationally we could prevent the death of over 200 birds of prey
